Armenia Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Armenian visitor visa is issued to those who intend to visit Armenia for a wide range of reasons which includes: tourism and visits to family and friends (V-1); family reunification (V-2); medicals (V-3); studies (V-4); cultural, athletic, scientific or other events (V-5); participation in humanitarian, charitable, technical assistance and similar programs (V-6); business or work (V-7); crew members (V-8). 
  • The process for obtaining this visa is the same irrespective of the exact purpose of the visit.
  • The visitor visa permits both single and multiple entries and they vary in price based on the intended length of stay
  • Visa validity is usually between 21-120 days but can be extended for an additional 60 days maximum.
  • For each day of visa extension, a fee of $1 is charged
  • Armenian embassies do not issue long-term visas
  • If after the Visa has been extended and more stay time is needed, the individual will have to obtain a resident permit which could be temporary, permanent or special.
  • Embassies abroad cannot issue resident permits, it is issued only in Armenia.
