Basic Travel Requirements for Rwandans visiting Czech Republic

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Czech Visa.


  • A completed visa application form.
  • A valid passport or travel document valid for at least 3 months from intended exit date. Your passport must have 2 blank pages for visa stamps and must have been issued within the last 10 years
  • For non-Rwandans, a valid resident permit is required.
  • Two recent passport sized photographs.
  • Travel reservations to and from Czech Republic.
  • Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay which could be hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host in the country.
  • You'll need to show proof you can cater for yourself while in Czech Republic. Your recent bank statement or that of a sponsor in Czech Republic will suffice.
  • Medical insurance which covers at least €30,000 of medical costs including hospital care, emergency treatment and repatriation in the event of death.
  • Your application should be submitted no earlier than three months and generally no later than 15 days before your intended trip. If you apply less than 15 days before the journey, your application may not be processed in time.
  • Within 30 working days of entering the Czech Republic, you are required to register at a Police Inspectorate near you.
