Gibsco Group of Companies, the parent company of Gibsco Hotels Limited, was incorporated in 1972 under the Companies Decree, 1968. The company acquired land around Rumuomasi area in 1973 with the purpose of erecting a hotel complex.
The building commenced in 1973 and was commissioned as a 30-room Guest House in 1976. Today Gibsco Hotels has well over one hundred and twenty rooms made up of Suite, Executive double rooms, Standard double rooms, Super double Rooms & Single rooms. In addition, Gibsco Hotels has a state of the art conference halls for conferences, meetings, etc. Gibsco Hotels is one of the oldest and foremost privately owned indigenous hospitality outfits in Port Harcourt.
The Management is composed of the founder, Alabo A. G. Oweredaba, as the Chairman/CEO and a host of highly tried & tested managers responsible for the respective functions of Finance & Administration, Room Services, Catering, Purchasing, Repairs & Maintenance, etc.
