Basic Travel Requirements for Algerians visiting China

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Chinese Visa.


  • Valid passports and other travel documents must be presented. The passport should be valid on entry into China and throughout your stay in the country.
  • A visa application filled in BLOCK LETTERS must be presented at the Embassy during visa application.
  • Your passport photographs are as important as any other document required. The photograph must show your full-face and you must not be wearing a cap.
  • Bank statements and salary payslips from the previous three months prior to the visa application should be provided. This is required as sufficient proof that you can cater for yourself.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • If you will be staying in a hotel while you are in China, you should ensure you provide proof of the booked hotel room.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.

China, officially the People's Republic of China is a country in East Asia and the world's most populous country, with a population of around 1.404 billion in 2017. Since 2010, China has been the country with the world’s second-largest economy by nominal GDP and the largest economy in the world by purchasing power parity in 2014.


China is also the world’s largest exporter and second-largest importer of goods and also the home to some of the world’s largest tech giants such as Huawei, Baidu, Tencent and Alibaba as it is the world’s most technologically advanced nation. Since 2019, China has the highest number of rich people in the world.

There is a level of control over internet services by the Chinese government. Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter are permanently blocked and other websites are blocked from time to time.
