Application requirements
Documents Algerian applicants need to provide.
- Applicants must provide a passport of at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from France.

Visa type details
Tourist visa
- The tourist visa is issued to foreigners traveling to France for leisure, tourism, sightseeing, and recreation in France.
- If the applicant is not a citizen of Algeria, a valid residence permit must be provided.
- The residence permit should have a validity of three months after the requested visa expires.
- Travel itinerary which shows details of the places the applicant plans to visit and the duration of stay in each of these places.
- Algerians who are in France for private visits are expected to provide an attestation of reception or certificate of reception provided by the inviting party in France.

Business visa
- The business visa is suitable for professionals and business travelers visiting France to engage in business activities.
- If you are not an Algerian, it is compulsory you provide a valid Algerian residence permit. The permit must be valid throughout your stay in France and an additional three months after departing the country.
- Applicants of the business visa must receive a professional invitation from their partners in France. Therefore, they are required to present the official invitation letter from the company they will be visiting in France.
- The letter from the host company in France must contain the reason for the applicant’s visit to France and must also state the date of arrival and departure from France.
- Supporting documents that serves as indicators of the commercial relationship between the host company and sending company should be provided.
- If the applicant is an employee of an Algerian company, a business letter stating that the employer is fully aware of the business trip to France and that the applicant has full intentions of going back to Algeria.
- Traders visiting France should be in possession of registration in the commercial register.
- Retired applicants are expected to submit a certificate of receipt of a retirement pension.
- Applicants are expected to be able to afford the cost of accommodation for each day of the stay in France which is up to €120 per day.
Medical visa
- The France medical visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of seeking medical care in France.
- Applicants of the medical visa are expected to provide an agreement with the hospital in France which has agreed to take up their treatment in France.
- The agreement should state the date and duration of the treatment and the estimated cost of the treatment.
- All medical visa applicants are required to provide a declaration that they are capable of making additional payments in case of any unforeseen additional medical expenses.
- A medical certificate from a recognized doctor or medical institution in Algeria confirming that the medical treatment required by the patient is unavailable in the country of residence is required..
- The applicant’s medical doctor in Algeria must state in detail, the type of medical care required by the applicant.
- Non-citizens of Algeria applying for this visa are required to provide a copy of their residence permit which carries a validity of at least three months after leaving the country.
Official visa
- The France official visa is issued to foreigners who are members of an international organization visiting France for the purpose of a diplomatic official mission.
- Applicants that are not citizens of Algeria are required to provide a valid residence permit.
- If the permit has expired, applicants are required to apply for a new permit.
- An official note or mission order stating the name of the person appointed to visit France for the official purpose.

- Students coming from Algeria to France for study purposes should ensure they provide copies of diplomas they obtained from schools they previously attended.
