How to get a Germany visa from Algeria

• The German tourist visa is issued to Algerians who have the intention of exploring the tourist attractions in the country.
• The tourist visa also gives permission to foreigners to visit friends or family members in Germany.
• A valid passport with at least six months of validity from the date of arrival in Germany is required.
• Two recent 2 x 2 passport-sized photographs taken against a white background are required.
• An entry stamp to prove that the applicant is entering the country legally is required.
• The visa stamp should be affixed on the blank pages in the original Algeria passport.
• Recent bank statements showing proof of sufficient funds for the entire duration of stay.
• Proof of medical insurance to cover the entire duration of stay should be submitted.
• An invitation letter from the host in Germany stating the relationship with the applicant and the duration of stay in Germany is required.
• Applicant travelling with a tourist organization should provide the proof certificate of registration with the tourism company or invitation letter from a tour organization.
• Proof of accommodation or hotel reservation is mandatory.
• Applicants must not overstay visa duration of stay in Germany.
• Minors traveling without supervision or with a single parent are required to a parental authorization signed by both parents, as well as a copy of the passport of both parents.

• The business visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of engaging in business activities, attending trade fairs, and conferences while in Germany.
• An original letter of invitation from the German business partner or company should be provided.
• The invitation must be duly signed by an authorized signatory of the company.
• The letter must indicate the date of arrival and the duration of the business trip.
• The applicant’s reason for the visit must also be stated.
• Previous contracts, invoices, and correspondences that show that there have been commercial dealings or trade relationships between the companies involved should be provided.
• Foreigners who have the intention of attending a trade fair or conference in Germany should attach their invitation to the trade fair or conference with other required documents.
• Applicants who are not of Algerian origin are required to present a copy of their Algerian residence permit.
• A business cover letter from the applicant's employer stating that the applicant is of good conduct and awareness of the required business leave.
• Ensure that the English, German or French translation of all the documents that are in Arabic to be submitted is attached to the original copy of the document.

• The eligible applicants of the Official Visa are those traveling to Germany for a short period of time for only official reasons.
• Applicants of this visa must provide an official letter or mission order which bears their name, official function, recruitment date, purpose, and duration of their visit.
• The official letter provided must guarantee that all the expenses of the visa applicant will be duly covered.
• This official visa does not allow applicants to enroll in an institution of learning to take up a part-time or full-time course of study.
• Taking up permanent residence in Germany with this visa type will be a violation of the German laws.
• You may be requested to provide additional documents by the German Embassy and also, a visa interview may be requested.
• English or French translations should be attached to documents that were originally issued in Arabic.
• If the applicant is not a citizen of Algeria, a copy of the applicant’s Algerian residence card should be provided.
• The residence card should have a validity of a minimum of 3 months after the expiry of the Official Visa.

• Foreigners who plan to travel to Germany to receive medical treatment are eligible to apply for this visa type.
• Applicants of this visa can be accompanied to Germany by a friend or relative.
• A recent passport photograph of the last 6 months taken against a white background is required.
• A medical report from a doctor or medical institution in Algeria stating the nature of the applicant’s illness and the reason to visit the German hospital is required.
• Letter from the receiving medical institution in Germany including diagnosis, type, and length of the required treatment and expected medical costs is required.
• Advanced payment of the medical fees must be made by the visa applicant and receipt of this must be presented during the visa application.
• Proof of sufficient financial funds for any extra medical costs and for the whole duration of stay in Germany should be provided.
• Employed applicants should provide a copy of their most recent employment contract, as well as copies of their last three payslips.
• Non-citizens of Algeria should provide the original and photocopy of their Algerian residence card.
• Medical Visa has a processing time of 15 days.

• The student visa is issued to students applicants visiting Germany of continuing their education in any of the academic institutions of learning in Germany.
• A letter of acceptance which may be used as a proof of enrollment in a school or university in Germany should be provided.
• Students must provide proof of prepayment of the tuition fee of the institution they have been enrolled in.
• Foreign students are required to provide proof of their proficiency in their knowledge of German and English language and the reason for the choice of the studies.
• Applicants are required to provide copies of the previous certificates of schooling and student card.
• If you are under the age of 18 years and are traveling with one or none of your parents, parental authorization and a copy of the passport of both parents are required.
• If the guardianship does not return to the father, authorization of the guardian and proof of the guardianship should be provided.
• Algerian residence cards with a validity of a minimum of 3 months should be provided by applicants who are not citizens of Algeria.
• Applicants are expected to provide proof of confirmed accommodation for the duration of your study in Germany.
• If the duration of your study program exceeds three months, you are required to make a declaration of entry within the first three months of your arrival in Germany.
