Basic Travel Requirements for Algerians visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.


  • Original passport with a validity of 3 months after the intended date of stay in Germany.
  • The passport must have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
  • Correctly filled and signed Germany visa application by the applicant is required.
  • One colored identity passport photograph. The photograph must be taken with a white background.
  • Statement from the applicant's bank accounts in Algeria from the previous three months prior to the visa application.
  • Travel insurance must be valid for the whole duration of stay in Germany.
  • The insurance which has sufficient coverage for medical and repatriation costs in case of accident or sickness.
  • The insurance must have a minimum coverage of €30,000.
  • Receipt of payment which shows that payment has been made for the visa.
  • Certificate of accommodation, confirmed hotel reservation, proof of rental which shows that you indeed have a place to stay during your visit to Germany.
  • Travel itinerary showing dates of arrival and departure from Germany.
