Entry Requirements

  • Visa is not required for Algerians visiting Malaysia.
  • Algerians visiting Malaysia are allowed a maximum total stay of 90 days within a one-year period.
  • When travelling to Malaysia, you are expected to have a return/onward ticket, as well as a proof of hotel accommodations and also an international certificate of vaccination.
  • Those who wish to visit Malaysia are required to provide a passport with six months of validity and with at least two blank pages for stamps on arrival and departure.
  • Before  entering a Malaysian home, you are expected to remove your shoes.
  • Although handshakes are generally acceptable for both men and women, some Muslim ladies may acknowledge introductions to gentlemen by merely nodding and smiling. A handshake should only be initiated by ladies. The traditional greeting or salam resembles a handshake with both hands but without the grasp.  
  • Visitors are charged an  airport tax of RM40.00  upon departure on any international flight. Passengers of domestic flights will be charged RM5.00.
  • Malaysia is a tropical country with a warm and humid climate throughout the year, with temperatures ranging from 70°F to 90°F {21°C to 32°C}
  • Algerians are  allowed to import 200 cigarettes / 50 cigars / 225g of tobacco, One liter of spirits / wine / malt liquor,cosmetics, perfume, soaps and toothpaste up to the value of RM200 on a free import duty. 
  • Tourists are advised not to wear shorts and beachwear outside the beach, especially they  plan visit mosque or other place of worship. Causal clothing is mostly accepted in Malaysia.
