  • The visa policy in Nepal provides that Algerians can get a visa upon their arrival at the following airports and land borders in Nepal;
  • Tribhuvan International Airport
  •  Kathmandu Birganj (India border)
  •  Bheemdatta (India border)
  •  Dhangadhi (India border)
  •  Nepalgunj (India border)
  •  Kakarbhitta (India border)
  •  Kodari (China side: Zhangmu Port, which is currently available for cargo transaction only)

  • This visa allows nationals of Algeria to stay in Nepal for a duration of 90 days.
  • Tourists who wish to stay beyond the 90-day validity should apply for an extension at the immigration offices in Kathmandu and Pokhara only, and cost US$30 (payable in rupees only) for a 15-day extension. A fine of $2 per day will be charged on tourists who stay beyond their visa validity.
  • Intending visitors will be required to provide a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of arrival in Nepal. The passport should have at least one blank page for visa stamping.
  • The importation of foreign currency amounting to $5,000 must be declared on arrival into Nepal. 
  • Travellers below the age of 18 must show travel authorization from their parents or guardians. Children under the age of 10 can get a visa for free. 
  • Tourists are required to provide proof of enough funds to spend during their stay in Nepal.
  • A detailed printed itinerary of your time in Nepal and a confirmation of accommodation during the stay is needed.
  • Intending visitors can get to Nepal from any international airport in Algeria. There are international airports in Dar El Beïda and Oran.
