Basic Travel Requirements for Algerians visiting Romania

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Romanian Visa.


  • Valid travel document or passport accepted by the state of Romania, on which the visa can be affixed. The travel document or passport must have a validity of at least three months from the applicant’s planned departure date.
  • The travel document must possess two blank pages and must have been issued within the last 10 years.
  • A copy of the visa application form duly completed and signed by the visa applicant. The visa application form of minors must be signed by both their parents or anyone who exercises permanent or temporary parental authority.
  • Applicants are to make sure that they are in possession of documents which proof the purpose of their stay in the country, as well as the length of their stay and the possibility of repatriation.
  • Two copies of recent color passport-sized photograph taken with a white background.
  • Adequate means of subsistence. This must be equivalent to at least €50 per day for the duration of the applicant’s stay in the country but not less than €500.
  • Health insurance with a coverage of at least €30,000.
  • Payment of the visa application fees. If you make your application through an external service provider, you pay the costs.
  • Confirmed accommodation for the duration of your stay in Romania.
