Sweden Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Student visa is issued to Algerian nationals who are looking forward to visiting the country for educational purposes. They must, however, be admitted to a full-time accredited university for studies in Sweden.
  • The Student visa can be issued for short-stay of 90 days.
  • Foreigners whose course of study is very short or under 90 days will not be eligible for residence permit application in Sweden.
  • The students who are travelling to Sweden for more than three months will require visa and residence permits to stay in the country throughout their course duration.
  • Students can work while they are pursuing their education from Sweden.
  • There is no upper limit to the number of hours a student can work for.
  • Students who have completed their studies from Sweden can apply for and get an extension of their Residence Permit for 6 months to seek suitable employment.
