Application requirements

  • An original Angolan passport with 6 months validity beyond stay in the Bahamas is required.
  • Passport should have at least one blank page for stamping.
  • Visa application form that is correctly filled and signed by the applicant.
  • One recent passport photograph taken against a white background should be submitted.
  • Applicant should provide a summary of bank statement that is not older than six months as proof of enough finances.
  • A receipt that serve as payment of visa fee is required.
  • The Bahamas do not need special vaccinations before entering the country.
  • A return ticket serving as proof that the applicant is returning to Angola.
  • Police report showing the applicant has no criminal record.
  • Hotel reservations confirmation
  • Flight itinerary/ticket copy showing entry and exit from the Bahamas.

Business visa

  • A business visa is issued to foreigners for the purpose of business meetings, conferences, contract negotiations, and engaging in trade fairs in the Bahamas.
  • Completely and correctly filled Bahamas application form that is signed by the applicant.
  • Original Angolan passport that is valid for at least 6 months should be provided.
  • The passport must have at least one empty page for visa stamp.
  • 2 recent passport photograph taken within the last 6 months should be attached to the application form. The passport photograph must be taken with a white background.
  • Applicants should provide a copy of round trip tickets showing applicant’s name and confirmation number.
  • Confirmed travel itinerary showing arrival and departure date from the Bahamas should be provided.
  • An invitation letter from the host company in the Bahamas printed on the company letterhead is required.
  • The letter should state the kind of business to be conducted, the purpose of travel and duration of stay in the Bahamas.
  • A letter from the employer in Angola is required. Proof of business registration from a self-employed applicant is required.
  • It should also be stated in the letter of invitation if the host company/organization will be responsible for the finances of the applicant during the duration of stay
  • Applicants with business visa should take note that they are not permitted to engage in new business activities or work apart from the ones stated in the letter.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservation is required.

Tourist visa

  • A tourist visa is issued to foreigners for the purpose of sight-seeing, tourist attractions and holidays.
  • Correctly filled and signed Bahamas visa application form is required.
  • Original Angolan passport with 6 months validity should be provided.
  • Two recent passport photograph taken within the last 6 months should be attached to the application form.
  • Copy of round trip tickets showing applicant’s name and confirmation number is required.
  • Confirmed travel itinerary showing entry and exit date from the Bahamas should be provided.
  • The holder of a tourist visa is not allowed to work or engage in business activities during their stay in the Bahamas.

  • The invitation letter from the host in the Bahamas should indicate the relationship between host and applicant.
  • The letter should also clearly state the purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature, and date.
  • Applicants should also provide proof of the host's status in Bahamas ie. copy of their Bahamas passport's information page, or, copies of their Bahamas residence permit and their national passport's information pages, if they are not a citizen of Bahamas.
