Basic Travel Requirements for Angolans visiting Gambia

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Gambian Visa.


  • Applicant signed passport must be valid for 6 months past date of exit. 
  • The passport should have 1 blank visa page required for a visa stamp or sticker by the Embassy or consulate.
  • Applicant must submit two (2) identical, color, passport style photographs (no glasses may be worn). 
  • The photos must be recent and generally should not be the same used for the passport itself.
  • The applicant must submit a flight reservation from a travel agency showing a departure from the Angola and arrival/departure from the Gambia.
  • Applicant must submit one complete, signed visa application. 
  • Applications must be printed and signed in blue or black ink only. Original signatures are required.
  • World Health Organization (WHO) card with yellow fever vaccination for people coming from countries where Yellow Fever infection is common.
  • Extensions to stays can be requested at the Department of Immigration in Banjul.
  • Applicants who stay beyond the allowed time will be fined.
  • Proof of Sufficient funds by providing bank statements for the last 3 months.
