Application requirements

Documents Angolan applicants need to provide.

  • A completed and signed application form is required
  • Two attached passport photos must be recent and of a white background.
  • Copies of applicant's s passport and previous visas are required.
  • A copy of the applicant's return ticket reservation.
  • It is not recommended to purchase a ticket before the visa is purchased.
  • Travel medical visa insurance with a minimum of 30,000 EURO coverage for the entire stay in Germany.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose and duration of travel to Germany.
  • A copy of the applicant's return tickets reservation dates and flight number, specifying entry and exit from Germany.
  • Proof of accommodation for the whole duration of the trip. This could be either a hotel reservation or a friend or family's house address.
  • Proof of civil status(Marriage certificate, Birth certificate of your children, Death certificate of your spouse or ration card).
  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay by providing a bank account statement.

Visa type details

Business visa

  • Invitation letter from the German company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied by the dates of the visit.
  • A certificate or cover letter from the applicant's employer in Germany stating/allowing applicant's business travel is required.
  • If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
  • A business bank statement of the latest 6 months is required.
  • Invitation letter from the German company the applicant will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied by the dates of visit to Germany.
  • The letter of invitation must state the nature of the business to be carried out in Germany.
  • Letter from either the employer or the partner company in Germany must state coverage of expenses for the applicant throughout the required a stay.
  • If the applicant is going for religious or crew/television purposes, an invitation letter from the above-mentioned authorities with details upon the nature of events or activities such as the purpose of visit, expense coverage, names of the applicants and duration of stay.
  • Travel itinerary showing entry and exit dates from Germany

Tourist visa

  • Invitation letter with the address and phone number from a family member, tour organization or sponsor is required.
  • Bank statements of the last 6 months should be provided by applicants.
  • Photocopies of the previous passport are required.
  • The official copy of the invitation letter indicating the identity of the applicant, duration of stay and purpose of travel to Germany.
  • Valid evidence of accommodation. This could be either hotel bookings or the home address of the host in Germany.
  • The tourist visa is basically meant for tourism and sightseeing purposes.
  • It also allows its holders to visit friends and relatives as well as attend summer school or a work seminar.
  • Applicants are not allowed to take up work while in Germany with a tourist visa.
  • An original copy of the minor’s birth certificate should be provided along with an approved consent note from both parents or legal guardians in Angola.
  • Applicants are expected to exit Germany immediately after the visa expires.
  • Holders of this type of visa are not allowed to work or engage in any business activities.
