Basic Travel Requirements for Angolans visiting Ireland

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Irish Visa.

  • Your Angolan passport must have a validity of at least 6 months and one blank space for visa stamp.
  • Duly completed visa application form which has been signed and stamped where necessary.
  • Photographs should not be more than 6 months old.
  • They may be in colour or black and white (b/w preferred).
  • Minimum photos size 35mm x 45mm, maximum size 38mm x 50mm 
  • The photograph should show a full front view of the subject's head, as he or she would normally appear.
  • Photographs should not show military or police uniforms.
  • Original birth certificate(for minors)
  • Only head coverings worn for religious reasons are permitted. Hairbands are not allowed.
  • For children under the age of 18 traveling alone, birth certificate and consent note signed by both parents is required.
  • Copy of travel itinerary
  • Copy of return flight ticket to country of origin.
  • Proof of sufficient finances to last the trip

Ireland Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa are foreign citizens traveling to Ireland for the purpose of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation
  • Foreigners who are traveling to Ireland on invitation from their friends or relatives are eligible to apply for this visa.
  • If you are visiting a friend or relative in the country, a letter from your host is required. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host, as well as, the contact information of the host.
  • Foreigners who are traveling for short studies must provide proof that you have a place reserved a place on the course for you.
  • If you are employed, a letter from your employer is required. The letter should state confirmation of the applicant’s leave. The letter must also state the contact information of the company, length of employment of the applicant, and the salary level of the applicant.
  • If the applicant is under the age of 18 years, the Tourist Visa application should be made by their parent or legal guardian.
  • This visa does not allow you to take up paid or unpaid employment of any kind while you are in the country.
  • Applicants of this visa can study for a short period of time such as a short-term English language course.
  • The original copy of the minor’s birth certificate is required.
  • Receipt of the non-refundable visa application fee is required.
  • This visa does not allow you to:
    • Do work (paid or unpaid) of any kind
    • Use any publicly funded services, eg a public hospital
  • The documents to be submitted during the visa application must be in English or Irish.
  • Proof that the applicant has the incentive of returning to his/her home country is required.

Ireland Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to business travelers who are traveling to Angola with the intention of engaging in business activities with their partners in the country.
  • During business meetings with partners, business travelers can negotiate and sign business contracts.
  • This visa allows its holders to attend trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars relating to their professional activity.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to provide a letter of invitation from the company they will be meeting with in Angola. The letter must state the duration and purpose of the business trip.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer is required. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and must contain the valid contact information of the company.
  • The letter from the applicant’s employer must state who will be financially responsible for the applicant in Angola.
  • If there have been previous trade relations between the applicant and the host, proof of this is required.
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in the country.
  • You are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
