Russian Federation Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Russian student visa is issued to Angola citizens that want to take up study programs in an educational institute in Russia.
  • The maximum stay for the Russian student visa is valid for more than 180 days.

  • The tourist visa is issued to foreigners visiting Russia for relaxation, recreation and sightseeing in Russia.
  • Holders of a tourist visa are not required to work or study in Russia.
  • An invitation letter from the host who is a citizen of Russia or is residing in Russia is required.
  • The letter must state the relationship between the host and the applicant, duration and purpose of the trip to Russia.
  • The letter must also include the valid home address of the host and the contact information of the host.
  • Confirmed travel itinerary showing details of the trip, dates of departure and arrival to Russia.
  • An original passport with at least 2 blank visa-designated pages.
  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the intended departure date from Russia.
  • If travelling as a tour group or cruise passenger, a letter from the tour company or cruise line confirming itinerary should be submitted.
  • Confirmation of hotel arrangements from an authorized Russian travel company, or directly from a Russian hotel, should be presented.
  • Vaccinations against measles, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis are necessary before travelling to Russia.
