Application requirements

  • The Russian student visa is issued to Angola citizens that want to take up study programs in an educational institute in Russia.
  • The maximum stay for the Russian student visa is valid for more than 180 days.

  • Holders of a tourist visa are not required to work or study in Russia.
  • An invitation letter from the host who is a citizen of Russia or is residing in Russia is required.
  • The letter must state the relationship between the host and the applicant, duration and purpose of the trip to Russia.
  • The letter must also include the valid home address of the host and the contact information of the host.
  • Confirmed travel itinerary showing details of the trip, dates of departure and arrival to Russia.
  • An original passport with at least 2 blank visa-designated pages.
  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the intended departure date from Russia.
  • If travelling as a tour group or cruise passenger, a letter from the tour company or cruise line confirming itinerary should be submitted.

  • Transit visa is issued to foreigners transiting through Russia to the destination country.
  • Flight ticket to the destination country is required.
  • Applicants are also required to provide the visa to the destination country.
  • Transit visa is issued for a maximum stay of 2 days in Russia.
  • Holders of a tourist visa are not permitted to take up jobs while in Russia.
