Application requirements

Documents Angolan applicants need to provide.

  • A completely filled and signed Spanish visa application form
  • The applicant can also fill the Spanish Visa application form electronically and then print a hard-copy.
  • 2 photos must be attached; the photo should be of passport format – a recent whole-face capture with a light background.
  • Angola passport valid for at least 3 months beyond return date and copies of previous visas is required.
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages for the visa stamp.
  • A copy of your return-ticket reservation. It is not recommended to purchase the ticket before obtaining the visa, if not otherwise required
  • Spain travel insurance confirmation of a minimum of €30,000 coverage within Spain.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Spain and itinerary.
  • Flight reservation with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Spain.
  • Hotel booking reservations for the whole duration of the intended stay in Spain.
  • Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable)
  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Spain. A foreigner who seeks to enter the territory of Spain needs to attest owning the overall amount for a duration up to 10 days that is representative of a 90% of the gross national minimum wage (€598.68) that is € 583.74, while in case of exceeding 10 days the daily required amount is €64.86.

Business visa

  • A business visa is issued to people who want to perform business activities in Spain.
  • Holders of this visa can attend business meetings, conferences, trade fairs and sign contracts while in the country.
  • The maximum period the holder of this period can stay in Spain is 90 days.
  • The processing of the visa takes about 15 days.
  • Applicants are required to have valid medical insurance for the whole duration of stay in Spain.
  • If the applicant is self-employed, A copy of the business license, company bank statement of the latest 6 months and Income Tax Return (ITR)
  • Invitation letter from the Spanish company the applicant will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied by the dates of the visit is required.
  • A certificate from the applicant's employer stating/allowing the business travel/leave is required.
  • If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
  • The business bank statement of the latest 6 months is to be submitted by the applicant.
  • Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in Spain, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.

Tourist visa

  • Applicants with a tourist visa can visit friends and relatives, go for vacation, relaxation and tourism purposes.
  • It is an offense to take up a paid job or engage in any business activities with a tourist visa.
  • Valid medical insurance for the duration of stay in Spain.
  • The original copy of the minor’s birth certificate is required.
  • The visa is usually processed for a period of 15 days.
  • Applicants are expected to leave the country at the expiration of the visa.
  • Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of €60 for the tourist visa.
  • Invitation letter from a family member or friend or tour organization in Spain containing contact information such as the address and phone number of the host.
  • The invitation letter should indicate the nature of events or activities, the purpose of visit, and expense coverage.
  • Applicants are required to provide a copy of the bank statement for the last 6 months.
  • Photocopies of previous passport copies.
  • Travel itinerary showing the entry and exit date from Spain.
