Basic Travel Requirements for Angolans visiting United Kingdom

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Briton Visa.

  • Original Angolan passport must have a validity of at least 6 months on the day of entry in Great Britain.
  • A valid international passport with a page that is blank on both sides
  • Duly completed and signed visa application form is required.
  • The applicant is required to provide two passport photographs with a white background.
  • A signed letter of invitation explaining from the host in Great Britain is required.
  • Proof of accommodation or confirmed hotel reservation is required.
  • Proof of payment of application fee is required.
  • Return flight confirmation/copy of the return itinerary.

United Kingdom Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to those who intend to travel to the UK for visiting and tourism purposes.
  • This visa application is averagely processed within 10 to 15 days. 
  • This visa allows foreigners to take part in sports or creative events.
  • A letter of invitation is required from the host in the United Kingdom.
  • The invitation letter should include the name, address and passport number of the host.
  • The letter of invitation should also indicate the duration of stay, the purpose of visit and state if the host will be financially responsible for the applicant throughout the entire duration of stay in the United Kingdom.
  • If you are under the age of 18, a consent letter signed by both your parents should be provided.
  • Minors should have the original copy of their birth certificate.
  • Holders of a tourist visa cannot do paid or unpaid work in the United Kingdom.
  • Applicants are expected to leave the UK  before the expiry of the tourist visa.

United Kingdom Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to business travellers visiting the United Kingdom with the intention of engaging in business activities with their partners.
  • This visa allows foreigners to negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners in the country.
  • Holders of this visa are not prohibited from attending trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars relating to their profession.
  • An official letter of invitation from the inviting company in the United Kingdom is required. The letter must state the purpose and duration of the visit.
  • The business letter must also state who will be responsible for the applicant’s finances during his/her time in the country.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Angola should be provided. The letter must state the applicant’s job position, salary level, and length of employment.
  • Proof of previous trade relations between the applicant’s company and the host company should be provided if any.
  • Documents that show that the applicant has the incentive of returning to Angola at the expiration of this visa is required.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee should be provided.

United Kingdom Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Student visa is issued to students who intend to study in any educational institute in the United Kingdom.
  • Admission letter from the institution of study should be provided by the applicant.
  • Proof of accommodation should be provided. If the host institute will be providing accommodation for the applicant, it should be clearly stated in the letter of admission.
  • All documents submitted for this visa application must contain original and 2 clear photocopies.
  • Applicants are to provide proof of travel insurance covering any medical emergency for the duration of their stay.
  • A medical certificate stating the applicant does not have any diseases that may endanger public health (such as TB, Malaria, and other diseases that require quarantine and other infectious diseases) is also required.
  • Medical certificates should be issued for at least 6 months to the date of application.
  • Proof of financial sustenance for the entire stay in Great Britain. This proof could be a valid scholarship offer, recent bank statement, letter attesting sponsorship and a valid ID of your sponsor.
  • The applicant can work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on a break as long as it doesn't affect your studies.
  • A certificate of good conduct not more than 6 months to the date of the application is required to show that the applicant has not been convicted for any crimes.
  • For minors, a letter of authorization signed by both parents and the original copy of the birth certificate should be presented.
