Basic Travel Requirements for Angolans visiting Vietnam

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Vietnamese Visa.


  • An Angolan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date. 
  • The passport must have at least 2 blank pages for the visa stamp.
  • A duly completed and signed Vietnam visa application form is required.
  • The parents/legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.
  • Three passport-size photographs (4 cm x 6 cm) taken on a white background.
  • The travel document must be completely provided.
  • Proof of financial capability in Vietnam by submitting original bank statements of the last 6 months is required.
  • Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.
  • A letter of invitation from the host in Vietnam is required.
  • The host could either be a family member, a friend, tour organization or business organization/company in Vietnam.
  • Copy of return flight ticket showing that the applicant has the intention of going back to Angola.
  • Documentation showing the applicant’s ties to the home country.
  • A police report showing the applicant does not have any criminal record in Angola.
  • Medical insurance that covers the duration of stay in Vietnam
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
  • Copy of travel itinerary sowing travel details, entry and exit date from Vietnam is required.
  • Applicants are to provide a copy of the receipt showing proof of the paid visa application fee.
