- Foreigners who are self-employed are required to submit the original copy of their business registration and proof that their tax payments are up-to-date.
- Individuals should have an accommodation reservation which could be a hotel or an apartment.
- For those staying with a relative or friend, an invitation letter should be written stating the relationship between the invitee and invited, duration of stay and contact details of the host.
- Minors should present a copy of their birth certificate and notarized parental authorization.

Italy Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Business visa is issued to foreign nationals who intend to engage in business activities during their time in Italy.
- This visa is also a short-stay visa of 90 days. The multiple-entry visa is valid for a year but the stay period is 90 days.
- A letter of invitation from the business partners in Italy is required. The letter should contain details of the inviting company, details of the business to be undergone and the sponsor of the trip.
- If the inviting company is not the sponsor of the trip, the sponsor should sign an affidavit for that purpose.
- Persons that are employed should submit a letter from their employer stating that the employer is aware of the trip and has granted the individual an official leave.
- All applicants should have a medical insurance confirmation worth 30,000 Euro. This will cover all emergencies that could occur during the trip.
- Proof of previous dealings with the Italian business partners should be provided, if any.
- You will be deported or fined for overstaying your visa regardless of your reason for overstaying.

- If you want to obtain medical treatment in Italy, you can apply for a medical visa.
- It takes about 15 days to process this visa but it can be longer if the consul needs more documents or if the information submitted is incorrect.
- An Italian visa is processed with a fee of 60 euros and is valid for other member Schengen states.
- A medical diagnosis from the doctor in charge of the treatment in Botswana and the reason why the individual is being referred to Italy for treatment should be submitted.
- An attestation from the doctor in Italy with the appointment time, date and period if required.
