- A copy of the applicant's round trip ticket.

Tourist visa
- The Algeria tourist or visitor visa is issued to applicants who want to visit Algeria for leisure, relaxation, and tourism.
- Application forms can be gotten online or at the embassy.
- Applicants who want to get the forms online are to fill it, download, print and sign them. Handwritten applications will not be accepted by the Embassy.
- The applicant would be asked to bring a valid passport and a copy of its first page.
- The passport should have been issued within 10 years and should be valid for at least six months.
- The passport photos should measure 2 x 2 inches and must be taken on a white background.
- Photos should be glued on the box reserved for a photo at the upper right side of the application form.
- In a case where the traveler would be received by a host in Algeria, an invitation letter would be required.
- The Algerian host invitation letter should be notarized via the host at the city hall in Algeria or a notary public office.
- The Algerian host must provide a copy of their Algerian ID, passport or consular card.
- Note that incomplete applications will not be processed.
- The embassy is not required to inform applicants of their incomplete applications. Incomplete applications with return envelopes will be sent back.
- It should also be noted that you are not to put more than three applications in one envelope.
- Applicants are urged to apply within a period that doesn’t exceed sixty days of their travel date.
- They might also be required to submit more documents as requested by the embassy.
- Algeria visas are usually valid based on the Algerian embassy's discretion.
Business visa
- This visa is issued to businessmen, representatives or employees of foreign companies who visit Algeria for business purposes.
- Applicants are expected to submit an Algerian partner or company local branch invitation letter to the embassy alongside the form.
- An employer's letter providing a brief presentation of the company would be needed at the embassy.
- It should also state the applicant's purpose of visit to Algeria.
- The company should assume the financial responsibility of expenses incurred during the trip.
- Note that holders of business visas are not permitted to work and a business visa cannot replace a work visa.
- A valid passport and a copy of the first page. The passport should be valid for at least six months.
Tourist visa
- This visa is issued to foreign workers or employees of foreign companies assigned to work in Algeria.
- They are expected to have a work permit delivered by an Algerian office of employment.
- There should be an employment verification letter attached to the documents required for travel.
- The Work visa request should be addressed to the Directorate General of Legal and Consular Affairs, Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A repatriation commitment letter in which the employer pledges to repatriate the employee upon terminating the contract is necessary for the application.
- An employer's letter stating the applicant's job title or position and purpose of the visit would be requested.
- The employer should also pledge to cover all living expenses and to repatriate the employee upon terminating the contract in the letter.
Student visa
- This is issued to students who want to study in Algeria.
- There should be an acceptance letter from the Algerian educational institution with the applicant's details on it.
- The applicant would be required to bring a copy of their scholarship notification letter if there is any.
- There should be proof of the applicant's financial resources for the duration of stay in Algeria.
