Basic Travel Requirements for Cambodians visiting Denmark
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Danish Visa.
- A Cambodian passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Denmark.
- The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
- Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any).
- Completely filled and signed visa application form.
- Two identical passport photographs with a light background.
- Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area.
- Cover letter.
- Proof of accommodation.

Denmark Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Danish tourist visa is for individuals who want to travel to Denmark for strictly recreational purposes.
- This visa can be used to tour Denmark, sight-see, go shopping and even attend ceremonies.
- The tourist visa can also be used to visit friends and families.
- It is usually valid for a period of 90 days and is called a short-stay visa.
- Accommodation is one of the compulsory areas to be sorted out before you apply for a Danish tourist visa.
- The accommodation could be a friend's or relative's house in Denmark or a hotel.
- Those who have a host in Denmark are to present a letter from their host which would state the host's address and contact details.
- This visa cannot be used to study or work in Denmark.
- To be eligible for this visa, you are required to have at least DKK 350 per day if you have a host and DKK 500 per day if you would be staying in a hotel.
- All travellers must have a travel insurance policy worth € 30,000 and must be valid for the length of the visa you are applying for otherwise, your stay would be shortened.
- Sufficient funds are needed for your trip. A recent bank statement or other forms of financial statements would be required as proof.
- Applications are to be submitted in person to the consulate of Denmark in Cambodia as an interview would be conducted.
Denmark Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Danish student visa is issued to individuals who want to study in Denmark.
- Before applying for this visa, you must first have been admitted into the institution of learning in Denmark.
- The admission letter given to the individual by the institution concerned should be presented during the application.
- You must have sufficient funds to cater for your study bills.
- Individuals on scholarship are to submit their scholarship letter or certificate.
- To be eligible for this visa, your passport must be valid for three months beyond the expiration date of your visa and should not have been issued for over 10 years.
- Your records from previous schools attended, certificates and transcripts should be submitted.
- If your institution will not provide accommodation for you then you have to get accommodation and provide proof during your visa application.
- The applicant's birth certificate might also be required.
- If you have previously been deported from Denmark or declared as undesirable, you would not be issued a visa.
- A physical interview is usually conducted and if the immigration officer considers you a threat or is feels you are seeking permanent residence in Denmark, you will not be granted a visa.

Do I need to learn Danish before travelling to Denmark?
No. Learning Danish is not necessary when travelling to the country as English is widely spoken by up to 90% of the population. German is also spoken by many Danes.
Can I travel to Denmark with a Schengen visa?
Yes. Denmark is a member of the Schengen agreement and since there are no border controls between countries that have signed the Schengen agreement, you can use a Schengen visa to go to Denmark.
Can foreigners buy land in Denmark?
It is difficult but not impossible for foreigners to buy landed properties in Denmark. As a foreigner, you are as a general rule restricted by law from buying residential property in Denmark unless you get a permit from the Ministry of Justice to finalize the purchase.
Are credit cards accepted in Denmark?
Nearly all ATMs will accept the Danish Dankort, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, JCB and China UnionPay (CUP). Although majority of retailers accept International credit and debit cards, many still only accept the local Dankort.
