Visitor Visa
- The Finnish visitor's visa is a short stay visa which is usually valid for 90 days.
- This visa is issued to individuals travelling for leisure purposes.
- Individuals who want to visit friends and relatives residing in Finland can also apply for this visa.
- Festivals, ceremonies, sight-seeing and touring can also be done with this visa.
- It is necessary to note that your visa application cannot be submitted earlier than three months before your intended date of travel.
- All original documents must be submitted with an extra copy.
- Individuals who have a host should provide an invitation letter from the host which should state the relationship between the applicant and the host, duration of stay, contact details and address of the host.
- If you would be staying in a guest house or hotel, the proof of booking should be submitted.
- Before travelling, ensure that you have sufficient funds for the duration of your stay in Finland.
- You would be required to present a recent bank statement as proof of sufficient funds during your application.
- A visitor's visa cannot be used to study or work in Finland.
- Applications are to be submitted in person to the embassy as physical interviews would be conducted.
- A return trip ticket would also be required as proof that you would return to Cambodia at the expiration of your visa.
Business visa
- The business visa is used to address any commercial and trade-related issues in Finland.
- Cambodians or individuals residing in Cambodia planning to travel to Finland on a business trip can apply for a visa at the embassy of Germany in Phnom Penh.
- It normally takes about 3 working days to process the visa after submitting the application but it can also take as much as 15 working days in some cases.
- Travel medical insurance worth a minimum of EUR 30,000 covering the entire Schengen area and valid for your period of stay should be submitted.
- This visa can also be used to sign and negotiate business contracts, attend meetings and conferences.
- Those attending conferences or seminars are to present proof of pre-registration for the conference.
- Employed applicants are to present a leave permit from their employer in Cambodia.
- Your business partners are also to send an invitation letter stating the purpose of the trip, the duration of the trip and if they would finance the trip.
- Note that all incomplete applications would be rejected.
- The visa application fee for an adult is the equivalent of EUR 60.00 in USD.
- All applications are to be submitted in person to the embassy.
- The Finnish business visa cannot be used to seek employment during your stay in the country.
