France Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- France Tourist visa is also known as a private stay visa.
- The visa does not permit its holder to engage in any activity linked to a professional reason such as work or study.
- It is a short-stay visa valid for a stay of 90 days in any 180-day period.
- The reason for your private visit could be sight-seeing, leisure, tourism or medical care.
- If you are travelling for medical care you must consult a doctor or a specialized office, undergo intervention in a hospital establishment or an after-care check-up.
- You would also have to provide your medical reports and other supporting documents that would be required by the embassy.
- Patients should note that Medical care provided in France cannot be covered by French Medical insurance.
- Individuals over the age of 12 are to submit their application in person if they are applying for the first time.
- Individuals who want to stay in France for a period longer than 3 months without engaging in professional activities during their stay would have to apply for a long-stay visitor visa.
- If the stay is between 4-6 months, you would be issued a temporary long-stay and if it is between 4-12 months, you would be issued a long-stay visa equivalent to a residence permit.
- The residence permit would be validated upon your arrival in France.
- Travellers are to have proof of enough funds for the duration of their trip.
- All applicants regardless of their reason for travelling must have an accommodation in France.
- A return trip ticket is required as proof that the individual would return to Cambodia at the expiration of their visa.
France Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The France student visa is for individuals who want to study in France, train as part of your university course or participate in an exchange cooperation program.
- This visa is a long-stay visa with a limited duration between 3 months to 1 year.
- If you would be staying for over a year then you have to apply for a residence permit.
- Students are allowed to work but they must have a resident permit. The French law permits students to an auxiliary work of 964 hours a year which is equivalent to 60% of the legal work year.
- Before you can apply for this visa you must first have been admitted into a university or institution of learning in France.
- Results and certificates from your previous schools attended would be required during your application.
- Minors are to have their birth certificate and authorization letter signed by parents or guardians.
- Medical insurance worth a minimum of EUR 30,000 is required. This will cover an emergency that could come up during your study in France.
- Applicants should ensure that their passports are not older than 10 years before applying for this visa.
- The application form should also be completed correctly as incomplete applications would be rejected.
- Students are expected to have accommodation in France. If your school would not provide accommodation then you should rent an apartment.
