Basic Travel Requirements for Cambodians visiting Ireland
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Irish Visa.
- A duly completed visa application form. It must be signed by the applicant.
- A valid national passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of return from Ireland and one blank page for visa issuance.
- Two passport photographs (35mm x 45mm) with the applicant’s name written on them.
- A copy of the identification document.
- Photocopy of a valid travel document.
- Proof of financial support.
- A valid medical insurance document that covers the entire duration of stay.
- A police report showing that the applicant does not have a criminal record.
- Return flight ticket to Cambodia.
- Receipt that shows you have paid the visa application fee.
- Original copy and 2 photocopies of PPC, Police Clearance Certificate should be attached to the applicant’s passport.

Ireland Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Irish tourist visa is issued to visitors who want to explore Ireland for tourism purposes, visiting of friends and family, and recreational purposes.
- Holders of a tourist visa are not required to work or engage in business purposes.
- Application form, signed and dated by the applicant.
- Applicant’s original passport, valid for at least 6 months after the date of departure from Ireland.
- Passport must have at least 2 blank visa pages for visa stamp.
- If the applicant has previous passports, the applicant must submit them with the application. If the applicant is unable to do so, then a written explanation along with police reports is required.
- 2 recent photos (not more than 6 months old) with a white background is required.
- A signed letter giving stating the reason for the visit to Ireland.
- A signed letter of invitation from the applicant’s host in Ireland explaining the relationship between the applicant and the host.
- The letter should also involve the contact information and home address of the host.
- A copy of your host’s passport bio-page and signature.
- If the applicant will be staying in a hotel, a copy of the confirmation of the reservation, including the address of the accommodation, your name and the exact dates of your stay is required.
- An original signed letter stating that the host is responsible for the financial support of the applicant during the stay in Ireland is required.
- An applicant cannot extend the Ireland tourist Visa.
- Child’s original birth certificate showing the names of both parents.
- The written consent of both parents for the child to travel to Ireland.
- Original photo ID for both parents, as named on the child’s birth certificate, which includes signatures and a photocopy of these documents.
Ireland Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Irish Business visa is granted to visitors who want to visit Ireland for business purposes such as attending business meetings or conferences, meeting with other business partners, signing contracts, etc…
- A completely and correctly filled application form, that is signed, would be requested.
- An original Cambodia passport with at least 6 months' validity after the date applicant proposes to leave Ireland is also to be requested.
- Applicants should provide 2 recent Passport photos that are taken within the last 6 months. Passport photos should be taken with a white background.
- An original, up-to-date, signed letter from your place of employment or study on headed paper with full contact details.
- The letter should include details of your employment in Ireland and confirm that the applicant will be returning to Cambodia after a visit to Ireland.
- The letter should also indicate that the applicant’s current employer is aware of the business leave.
- The address of the company should be written in the letter as well as the duration of the visit.
- Recent correspondence relating to your self-employment from the relevant government authority in Cambodia.
- Recent bank statements for your business bank account covering the 6 month period immediately prior to your application.
- Photocopies of any original document that the applicant wants to be returned.
Ireland Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Irish student visa is issued to foreigners intending to travel to Ireland for study purposes.
- There are two types of Irish student visa:
- Type C student visa – this visa is for any study program/course that lasts less than three months.
- Type D student visa – this visa is available to students who applied for a course that lasts longer than three months.
- Applicants are required to provide a letter of acceptance from a recognized school or college or university in Ireland confirming that they have been accepted on a course of study. This course of study must be full-time (lasting an academic year) and have a minimum of 15 hours per week study time.
- Students must provide proof that they have enough funds (€7,000) to maintain themselves for the initial part of their stay.
- Evidence that you or a sponsor have access to at least €7,000 for each subsequent year of your studies, in addition to the course fees for each of those years must also be provided.
- Those who apply successfully can remain in Ireland for 12 months from the day they received their exam results to find employment.
- For students completing a postgraduate program, they could be permitted to stay for 24 months in total after graduation.
- The tuition fees you will pay in Ireland will vary depending on where you choose to study and where you are from. Ireland operates a Free Fees Initiative for full-time undergraduate study. On average you should expect to pay between €5,000 and €10,000 per year.
- International students must meet minimum English language requirements in order to be granted a student immigration permission.
- You will be required to provide proof of English language proficiency through an internationally recognized certificate that has been issued within two years of the expected start date of the course to be considered valid.
