Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.
- A Cambodian passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Italy.
- The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
- Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any).
- Completely filled and signed visa application form.
- Two identical passport photographs with a light background.
- Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area.
- Cover letter.

Italy Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Italian tourist visa is issued to individuals who want to travel to Italy for sight-seeing, tourism or leisure purposes.
- It allows an uninterrupted stay in Italy for a maximum period of 90 days.
- Holders of this visa can also visit their friends or families residing in Italy.
- A detailed travel itinerary, showing intended places to visit and the duration of each visit would be required.
- It is important to ensure that all your documents are original and properly filled. Fake documents and incomplete applications would be rejected.
- Travelling minors are to submit their birth certificate and a notarized letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardians.
- Applicants are to have sufficient funds for the duration of their stay. Proof in the form of a recent bank statement or other documents containing your financial statement would be required.
- Employed applicants are to submit a letter from their employer in Cambodia stating that they are on an approved leave.
- A medical insurance confirmation worth a minimum of EUR 30,000 and valid for the entire Schengen area is required for all applicants.
- Accommodation is required for all applicants before their visa can be approved.
- Those who would be staying with a relative or friend are to have an invitation letter from the host stating the relationship between the invitee and invited, duration of stay and contact details of the host.
Italy Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Italian medical visa is issued to individuals who want to seek and obtain medical treatment from Italy.
- It generally takes 15 working days for the visa to be processed but it could be longer if the embassy requires additional documents.
- Applicants are to make a deposit for their treatment before applying for the visa, proof of the deposit should be provided during the application.
- A medical diagnosis from the doctor in charge of your treatment in Cambodia and the reason your treatment is being transferred to Italy should be submitted.
- If you are not being transferred by your doctor, a letter stating the reasons why you are going to Italy for your treatment instead of receiving treatment in Cambodia would be required.
- Sufficient funds are required for treatment in Italy. If you do not have sufficient funds, you would need to have a sponsor.
- An attestation from the doctor in Italy with the appointment time, date and period if required.
- The applicant should present proof of accommodation during the medical visit. The accommodation could also be a reserved bed-space in the clinic.
- An Italian visa is processed with a fee of 60 euros and is valid for other member Schengen states.
Italy Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Getting an Italian visa starts with first being admitted into an institution of higher learning in Italy.
- A letter of acceptance from the Italian University would have to be provided fro the visa application.
- You would be issued a short-stay, type C visa if you apply for a language course that lasts for less than 90 days.
- The long-stay visa would be issued if you apply for any degree course that has at least 20 hours of courses per week.
- Individuals applying for this visa must have a clean criminal record and must not have been previously denied entry into Italy.
- It is advisable to apply for your visa at least three months before your intended travel date to Italy.
- Applicants are to prepare for a physical interview and schedule an appointment for one.
- You must have arranged accommodation in Italy for the whole period of your studies.
- You should also have sufficient financial means of support for your studies, a minimum of EUR 900 per month.
- Applicants are to apply for a residence permit in Italy (permesso di soggiorno) within eight days of arrival at any post office.
