Application requirements
Documents Comoran applicants need to provide.
- Passport must be valid for at least three months after the date of exit from Finland.
- 2 passport photos taken against a white background.
- Finland's visa application form should be completely filled out and signed by the applicant.
- Proof of accommodation either booked your own accommodation in Finland or have someone sponsoring your stay.
- Documents showing proof of the flight reservations, showing the travel dates and duration. It is basically an itinerary of the travel plans in Finland.
- A valid and suitable health insurance plan covering the total number of days the applicant will be staying in Finland. The minimum value of coverage should be EUR 30,000
- The travel medical insurance must have been acquired from an insurance company that is approved by Finland.
- Bank statement from the applicant’s bank showing the monthly transactions for the past 3 months to be able to prove that the applicant will be able to sustain yourself during the trip
- Applicants are required to apply for a visa at least 3 weeks in advance of the planned travel date so that there is enough time for the application procedure to be completed on time.
- The visa application fee will not be refunded if the applicant’s application for the visa is refused or rejected for any reason.
- The visa fee is exempted for children under 6 years of age.
- Applicants are required to submit original copies and photocopies of all supporting documents.

Tourist visa
- Applicants must have a valid passport of at least 3 months beyond stay in Finland.
- The passport must have been issued within the previous 10 years
- A copy of the applicant’s completed and signed Finland visa application form.
- Applicants must provide hotel bookings/reservations or letter of invitation as proof of accommodation in Finland.
- Flight bookings and a detailed itinerary for the entire duration of the stay in Finland
- Applicants must provide a copy of their round-trip or tour ticket.
- Applicants must provide proof of financial ability so as to support themselves financially during the required stay in Finland.
- Applicants must provide a recent statement of the financial situation from the bank.
- Applicants must submit a valid travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 that covers the entire duration of the trip to Finland.
- The insurance must cover sudden illness or accident. It must also cover transportation home in the unfortunate event of the death of the tourist while in Finland.
- Third-country nationals residing in Comoros must provide supporting documents attesting to the legality and the authorized duration of their residence here.

- Visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant.
- Two (2) recent photographs of the applicant.
- An ordinary passport valid for at least three months from the expiry date of the visa applied for.
- The passport must have at least two empty pages for the visa stamp.
- Photocopy of the applicant's national ID card.
- Applicants that are not citizens of Comoros must provide a copy of their original residence permit.
- An original signed letter of the applicant’s company/employer stating name, position, salary, duration of employment, address and contact numbers of the employer, purpose, and duration of visit to Finland.
- Original bank statements of the last six months showing proof of sufficient funds for the whole duration of stay in Finland.
- If the applicant is a proprietor of a company, a copy of the original bank statements of the last six months or National Tax Number Certificate (NTN) for the previous two years is required.
- An invitation letter from the private or public organization established in Finland, in the applicant’s name and indicating the trip dates.
- It must be clearly stated in the invitation letter the nature of the business to be conducted in Finland.
- Confirmed hotel reservation showing proof of accommodation in Finland
- Copy of original travel medical insurance policy of not less than 30,000 Euros. The policy must cover medical and hospitalization expenses for the entire period of valid stay in Finland.
