Basic Travel Requirements for Comorans visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.


  • Germany's visa application form that is completely filled and signed by the applicant.
  • Comoros passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of exit from Germany.
  • The passport must have two blank pages for the Germany visa stamp.
  • Passport photographs must be taken within the last three months, and according to the other photo standards set by the German embassy.
  • Health insurance that confirms the applicant has obtained travel health insurance that covers illnesses and accidents and even repatriation in case of death with a minimum coverage of € 30.000.
  • Travel Itinerary that shows intended transport, as well as proof of what the applicant is planning to do in Germany.
  • Applicants are required to provide proof of financial means. This can be a recent bank statement that shows you have enough funds to spend at least 45€ per each day spent in Germany.
  • A copy hotel reservations/invitation letter from the host in Germany should be submitted as proof of accommodation in Germany.
  • Minors have to hand in the original birth certificate among others if they are travelling alone the consent of both parents represented by a signature in the application form and a formal letter is requested.
