Application requirements
Documents Djibouti applicants need to provide.
- Correct visa application form duly filled out and signed.
- A valid international passport with the validity of 6months and two least blank pages for visa stamps.
- Two(2) passport-sized photographs with white background.
- Travel insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000
- Round-trip flight reservations or a complete travel itinerary.
- Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation.
- A letter of no objection from the employer.
- Bank statements from the previous 3 months.
Visa type details
Business visa
- The Danish Business Visa is issued to foreigners who are visiting the country for engaging in temporary work or business.
- You are to apply for a work permit if you are going to work in Denmark, but you cannot work with a business visa.
- This visa does not grant the business visa holder to take up new employment in Denmark.
- The Business visa just like the other members of the EU and part of Schengen countries valid for 90 days with the option of extending it to 180 days if the holder intends.
- If the holder extended the visa to 180 days, he is however inclined to spend part of the days in other Schengen countries having visiting Denmark initially.
- The 90 days may be spread across one or more visits, and the more than one visits make the visa Multiple entries.
- The maximum processing time for the visa is usually 15 business days but exceptional cases can delay it to 30 to 60 days.
- You can pay for the visa fee in your local currency or in Euro, to the Danish embassy or consulate in Djibouti Ville, Djibouti.
- A foreigner who is applying for a long stay business visa, the visa is charged $195 USD.
- The foreigners who are visiting for a short-stay are bound to pay 60 Euro for adults above 12years old.
- The applicant must provide a letter from their employer stating or allowing their business travel.

Tourist visa
- The Danish Tourist visa is meant for those travellers looking to visit Denmark for tourism purposes like holiday, fun, leisure, nature and enlightenment.
- The visa is for those who will be spending less than or up to 90 days for the sole purpose of tourism.
- You cannot work or study in any academic institution with this visa.
- The holder of the Danish visa has the advantage of travelling to other Schengen countries(as Denmark is part of the Schengen countries) having visited Denmark.
- The copies of your international password must be provided.
- Your recent bank statement from the last six(6) months is required.
- Foreigners are not entitled to take up employment on tourist visa in Denmark or other Schengen countries.
- The applicant must ensure he provides his or her invitation letter with the address and phone number from family member or sponsor, if applicatory.
- Applicant is to provide recent Bank statement of six months.
- Just like the business visa, the tourist visa for children under the age of six are meant to travel on Zero Dollar on visa fee.
- The tourist must leave at the expiration of their stay in Denmark.
- All the necessary documents to be presented must be translated into English and not in Arabic, and they must be accompanied by the original copies.
- You are to pay in your local currency or in Euro(if available), to the consulate or embassy of the Danish in Djibouti-Ville, Djibouti.
Medical visa
- The Danish medical visa is granted to those whose medical condition is very severed and wanting to travel to Denmark for treatment.
- This visa is valid for 90 days of duration of stay covering a period of 180 days.
- Your visa processing time is done within 15 days but could be stalled up to 30 days or more in some cases.
