Egypt Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Citizens of Equatorial Guinea that intend to travel to Egypt for tourism, vacation, sightseeing, visiting family or other recreational activities must apply for an Egyptian tourist visa.
  • Applicants are required to accurately complete and sign a visa application form. Please note that incomplete visa application forms may cause delay of the processing of your application or lead to denial of visa request.
  • You are to provide one (1) colour passport-size photograph (35x45mm) taken within the last 6 month. The photo must be taken with a light background and clearly show your face.
  • Your Equatorial Guinea passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months from the day you enter Egypt and have at least 2 blank pages for visa stamps.
  • You are required to present a copy of your round-trip flight reservation, showing entry and exit dates as well as your full name. This is to show that you have the intent to leave Egypt once your visa expires.
  • If you are visiting friends or relatives in Egypt, you may provide a letter of invitation from your host. The letter must state the relationship between you and your host as well as their contact details.
  • Applicants are advised to apply for their Egypt tourist visa within a month of when they are to travel to Egypt.
  • There are two types of Egypt tourist visa:
    • Single-entry visa, valid for 6 months and allows a maximum stay of 30 days in the country. This visa costs $60
    • Multiple entry tourist visa, valid for 6 months and allows a maximum stay of 30 days in the country. This visa costs $85.
  • Travellers are advised to get immunizations for malaria, hepatitis A and B, and typhoid before travelling to Egypt.
  • You are required to show proof of sufficient funds to sustain you for the duration of your stay in Egypt. This could be your bank account statements of the last 3 months, your payslips of the last 3 months or other financial documents that can show that are financially solvent.
  • The tourist visa does not permit its holder to take up employment while in Egypt.
  • Travellers are advised to have valid travel insurance before travelling to Egypt.
  • You are required to present proof of payment of the visa fee.

Egypt Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreign nationals who intend to travel to Egypt to engage in business activities are eligible to apply for the Egyptian business visa.
  • You are to accurately complete and sign a visa application form. It is important to fill all required sections of the form with accurate information as incomplete or incorrect completion of the visa application form may cause a delay of the processing of the visa application.
  • You are to submit one (1) colour passport-size photograph (35x45mm) taken within the last 6 month.
  • Your passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months from the entry date into Egypt and have at least 2 blank visa pages.
  • A copy of your round-trip flight reservation, showing entry and exit dates, as well as your full name, must be submitted.
  • Business travellers are required to submit a business letter from their employer. The letter must be signed by an authorised officer of the company, and state the full name, role in the company and the purpose of travel of the applicant. The letter should also show awareness of leave and when you are expected to resume.
  • An invitation letter from the partner company in Egypt stating the purpose of your visit, how long you will be in Egypt and who will be financially responsible for your travel is also required.
  • If there exist previous business dealings between your company and the inviting Egyptian company (such as bills of lading, invoice of goods delivered or other related documents), you should provide proof of such relations.
  • The business visa does not permit its holder to take up paid employment while in Egypt.
  • You are required to show proof of financial means to cover for all your expenses for the duration of your stay in Egypt.
  • You are also required to submit a copy of the certificate of business registration of the inviting company.
  • Self-employed travellers must provide a copy of their income tax return of the last 6 months and a copy of their company’s licence to operate.
  • There are two types of Egypt business visa:
    • Single-entry visa, valid for 6 months and allows a maximum stay of 30 days in the country. This visa costs $90.
