Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Egyptian Visa.

Egypt Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Egyptian tourist visa is for Eritrean travelers who visit Egypt with the intention of touring, visiting or having a good time while in the country.
  • If you are desiring to visit Egypt for other purposes, consider applying for any other types of Egyptian visas. 
  • It is possible to attend business meetings while on a tourist visa, but all activities must fall within the allowed duration.

  • This visa's duration of stay is 30 days for a period of 90 days in one calendar year, but can be extended at the Ministry of Interior in Cairo.
  • You cannot reside permanently in Egypt with a tourist visa or take up paid employment. However, if you intend to stay more than 6 months, you will have to apply for a temporary residence permit.
  • You are expected to exit Egypt before your visa's expiration.

Egypt Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Egyptian business visa is granted to business travelers who are willing to conduct business in Egypt.
  • Being classified as a short-stay visa is also known as a visitor's visa with the validity of 90 days.
  • The business visa is valid for 3 months, you can stay in the country for 30 days initially, and spending the remaining 60 days across the next five months.

  • Seven(7) passport-size photographs are required, two copies of your employer's incorporation contract will be needed, two copies of your Tax ID will also be required and copies of your academic qualifications which could be university degrees, professional certificates or letter of reference from past employers are necessary for the work permit application.

  • Your employer will need to submit a memorandum explaining why it is necessary to hire a foreigner rather than a qualified Egyptian citizen.
  • The work permit visa is charged 1000 Egyptian pounds depending on the country you are from.

  • An Egyptian work permit is valid for one(1) and might be extended for 5 years.
