- The Saudi Arabian visitor visa is for Eritreans traveling to the country for tourism or pilgrimage purposes.
- There are two types of Saudi Arabian visitor's visa:
- Hajj Visa - The Hajj Visa is available for Muslim travelers who wish to make a religious pilgrimage to Mecca which takes place during the last month of the Muslim calendar (August to September).
- Tourist eVisa for Saudi- The new Saudi Arabia eVisa marks a turning point for the country - it has opened Saudi Arabia up for tourism.
- Since it is now available online, tourists are able to easily get the visa and visit the country for tourism purposes.
- Travelers carrying more than 60,000 Saudi Riyal must have it declared upon entry.
- A reference note showing the number and the date of issue of the visa must be provided.
- Minors (under 18 years of age) travelling alone or with one parent must submit a notarized letter of authorization, either in Arabic or English, signed by both parents or legal guardians.
- Travelers going to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must abide by the country’s Islamic laws and regulations and respect its society’s values and traditions.
- Non-Muslims would not be granted visa into Saudi Arabia.
- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s laws against drug trafficking are strictly enforced. Violators are subject to severe punishment, which may include the death penalty.
- If you overstay your time in Saudi Arabia, the fees for overstay is SAR 100 for each day of overstay.
- Due to the strict requirements of Saudi Arabia, women entering the Kingdom alone must be met by a sponsor or male relative and have confirmed accommodation for the duration of their stay. Additionally, entry may be refused to any visitor judged as behaving indecently, according to Saudi Arabia law and tradition.
- Visitors are advised not to overstay their visas as this may result in severe penalties.
Saudi Arabia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Saudi Arabian business visa is available to Eritreans traveling to Saudi Arabia for business purposes.
- Saudi Arabia's business visa is issued to businessmen, investors, representatives of companies, managers, sales managers, sales representatives, accountants, production managers, administrative managers and consultants and other visitors who are traveling for the express purpose of business.
- Visa applicants are required to have a valid sponsor in the country, from an acknowledged Saudi Arabia business. The proof of this sponsor should be provided in the form of an invitation letter, certified by both a Saudi Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A letter addressed to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, by the applicant’s employer in Eritrea, which confirms the applicant’s position and that he is being sent on a business visit related to his/her company must be provided.
- Applicants are required to provide a copy of the company’s business registration, in Saudi Arabia and in Eritrea.
- Applicants should provide an electronic invitation letter from a Saudi Company is required.
- A diplomatic note from the applicant’s embassy in Eritrea identifying his/her title must be provided by the applicants.
- Business travelers are advised not to overstay their visa.
