Application requirements
Documents Gabonese applicants need to provide.
- Original Gabon passport valid for 6 months after an intended stay in Italy.
- The original passport must have more than two blank visa page for visa stamp.
- The visa application form must be signed and completely filled by the applicant.
- Proof of legal stay or residence (applicable to applicants who are not applying for visas in the country of nationality).
- Minors under the age of 18 are required to submit a birth certificate and a travel statement of minors to China by one party (requires both parties to sign).
- The original and photocopy of the ID card of both parents (the divorce certificate of the named guardian who should provide the notarization of the divorce of the parents).
- One recently taken passport photo showing a full face, front view, bare-head, and against a light background (size: 48 x 33mm).
- Travel itinerary showing details of the applicant’s planned trip to China, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, and accommodation arrangements.
- A copy of confirmed return ticket to Gabon is required.
- Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations in Italy is to be submitted.
- An invitation letter from the host in China containing the information of the applicant such as name, gender, and date of birth.
- Information of the host in china such as name(s), contact number, address, and relationship to the applicant.

Tourist visa
- Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and available blank pages, and a photocopy of the passport's data page.
- One accurately completed the China tourist visa application form.
- If the application form is not filled out truthfully, completely and legibly, there could be a delay in processing or refusal of the application.
- A recent passport-size colour photo with white background attached to the application form.
- Documents showing the itinerary including proof of round trip tickets booking and proof of hotel reservation.
- An invitation letter issued by the host, whether it's an entity or individual, with following the information on the applicant, including full name, gender, and date of birth, and information on the planned visit, including arrival and departure dates, place(s) of visit.
- The invitation letter must also include information on the host, including name, contact number, address, official stamp, and signature of the legal representative of the entity or the inviting individual.
- For those not applying in their country of citizenship, proof of legal stay or residence status is required.
- A copy of a recent 6-month bank statement of the applicant is required.
Business visa
- The business visa is issued to foreigners travelling for business purposes such as attending trade fairs, negotiating with clients, and signing contracts.
- Gabon signed passport must be valid for 6 months from the date you plan to depart China.
- Visas stamps should be affixed to the blank pages of the passport.
- Passport must contain sufficient blank visa pages for visa stamp.
- China visa application form that is signed and completely filled.
- Proof of legal stay or residence if you are applying from a third country.
- China Business visa Invitation Letter issued by a Chinese business or trade partner is required.
- Invitation letter or confirmation letter of invitation issued by duly authorized Chinese institutes or relevant units.
- The invitation letter for the business visa should also indicate the applicant’s information including full name, birth date, passport number, information about the intended business visit, including purpose, arrival and departure dates, place(s) to be visited, and information about the host including name, contact number, address, signature, and official stamp.
- Letter from host, sponsor or company to be visited in China stating responsibility for applicant’s financial means in China.
- The applicant must provide a copy of round trip airline confirmation indicating the dates of entry and exit from the country you intend to visit.
