Basic Travel Requirements for Gaboneses visiting Spain

  • Passport that is valid for at least three months after the intended date of travel and three months after scheduled return from travel.
  • The passport must have two full blank pages to affix the visa.
  • Three coloured copies of the data page of the passport.

  • If you are a minor then the application must be filled and signed by both the parents along with photocopies of parent’s passports.
  • Two 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm coloured passport photographs that are not more than 1 month old and with a white background 
  • Passport photographs should be glued and not stapled to the application form.
  • Personal Covering letter from the applicant explaining in detail the purpose of the visit. 
  • Coloured photocopies of previous visas if any.
  • For non-Gabon nationals residing in Gabon, a residence permit endorsed on passport should be provided. 
  • Both your passport and residence permit in Gabon must be valid for at least three months beyond the returning date of your trip.
  • Proof of accommodation such as hotel booking/reservation in Spain.
  • Proof of sustenance either as bank statements travel cards, credit cards) to show that you can sustain yourself financially when you are in Europe
  • Travel insurance
  • Personal Statement of Account for the past six months and that of your company, if you are being sponsored.
  • General income generated by a property, share certificates, bonds, and proof of ties to Gabon, if any.
  • Flight ticket/reservation including a return flight to Gabon is required.
  • Applicants below 18 years who are travelling unaccompanied by one or both parents must present their birth certificate as well as a sworn affidavit from the said parent/parents authorizing their trip. 
  • The affidavit must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja. While children travelling with both parents will only need to submit their birth certificate.
