Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Belarusian Visa.

Belarus Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to persons who intend to visit Belarus for tourism purposes.
  • You can also visit family and friends while on this visa.
  • All visitors to Belarus must carry a valid passport.
  • Visa applicants need to submit an invitation letter from a family member or host living in Belarus.
  • This letter should clearly state the address and contact details of the host, as well as your relationship with them.
  •  During the visa application, you will need to provide proof of sufficient funds to last the duration of your stay.
  • Applicants may also be required to submit a document that shows they have the incentive of returning to their country at the expiry of the visa.
  • You are advised to exit the country before your visa expires.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination may also be needed.
  • This visa does not serve study purposes. You cannot be enrolled in any of the institutions of learning in the country.

Belarus Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to Ghanaians traveling to Belarus for business purposes.
  • You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Belarus company you will be visiting.
  • This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the date and actual purpose of your trip.
  • Proof of any previous business dealings with the company you are meeting up with should be provided.
  • If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required.
  • If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel.
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover the costs of stay (e.g. bank statement for 2 recent months) is required.
  • Self-employed people may need to submit proof of business registration.
  • You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa.
  • It must be made clear whether your trip will be sponsored by the employer or the local company.

Belarus Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • An international student who wants to pursue an educational course in Belarus will have to obtain a student visa.
  • The Belarus student visa is a long-term visa granted to students who have already been accepted for admission by a recognized educational institute in Belarus.
  • The student visa must be obtained before entry into the country.
  • To be eligible for a Belarus student visa, you must provide proof of having being accepted as a student by a recognized Belarusian university.
  • You must also provide proof of full payment of tuition fees for the course.
  • Your medical insurance must cover the total number of days you will be staying in Belarus as a student.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination may also be needed.
  • Most universities will assist students in obtaining the student visa. Upon arrival in Belarus, the individual universities will also assist students in obtaining a temporary residency permit.
  • This permit is valid for one year.
  • An HIV/AIDS test, performed by a Belarusian clinic, is required for a residency permit.

  • If you are a foreigner and have a job ready for you in Belarus, you need to get a work visa.
  • Most countries require a visa to visit Belarus. Russia and certain ex-Soviet countries are an exception because their citizens can stay indefinitely without a visa.
  • You must work with your employer to secure your visa.
  • A medical insurance policy is required.
  • This must contain the name and address of the insurance company, as well as contact numbers.
  • This insurance must also be valid for the entire period of stay in Belarus.
  • The employing company must provide proof that there was no citizen of Belarus available to take up the job you were offered.
  • Applicants who have been previously convicted may be refused entry into the country.
