- Ghanaian passport holders can stay in Ecuador visa-free for a duration of 90 days.
- Ghanaians visiting Ecuador must provide a passport with at least six months of validity and an onward/return ticket before entry into the country.
- Visitors must have health insurance that will cover any health issues during their visit to Ecuador.
- Visitors intending to stay for more than 90 days within a year, should go to an Ecuador consulate in your home country and apply for the 12-IX visa. Often referred to as the Tourist, Commercial or Sports Visa, this allows you to stay in the country for up to 180 days in a year.
- Visitors are required to provide a police certificate with a criminal record from their origin.
- You don't require a tourist visa for stays less than 90 days in any 12-month period.
- There is a 5 percent tax on currency taken out of Ecuador above $1098.00.
- Ghanaians visiting Ecuador with pets must obtain a certificate of vaccination and must obtain an import license from the embassy or high commission.
- Ghanaians visiting Ecuador must check for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia, and influenza vaccines.
