Entry Requirements
- Intending visitors will require a visa on arrival upon entry into the country.
- Your visa is valid for a maximum of 30 days.
- Your passport must be valid for six months with two blank pages.
- Visitors are issued single-entry visas upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport and most international land border crossings.
- No vaccination is required to visit Jordan.
- Before entry into Jordan, you must declare currency more than JOD10,000.
- You can stay on a tourist visa.
- Visitors who wish to stay longer than the duration of their stay given to them by Jordanian immigration officials upon entry must register at a Jordanian police station before the expiration of their stay.
- If you arrive in Jordan’s southern city of Aqaba on an international flight, by sea, or by land, and if you stay in Aqaba at least 48 hours, you are entitled to a no-fee visa as part of the free-trade agreement with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Area (ASEZA). If you leave the country within two days, you will be assessed the visa fee at the time of departure. Cruise ship visitors entering Aqaba are entitled to the no-fee visa even for visits less than 48 hours.
- If you overstay your visa, you must pay a fine of $2 per each day overstayed. You won't be allowed to leave Jordan until this fine is paid.
- Visas are not issued upon arrival at King Hussein/Allenby Bridge land border crossing.
- An exit fee of 10 JD (approximately 14 USD) is assessed to all visitors departing through King Hussein/Allenby Bridge, except for diplomats residing in Jordan.
- Visitors with HIV/AIDS might be denied entry into Jordan.
- Ghanaian visiting Jordan with pets must obtain a certificate of vaccination and must obtain a license from the embassy or the high commission.
- Direct flights are available from the Kotoka International Airport Accra, Ghana to Amman, Jordan and may last for up to 6 - 7 hours long.
