  • You must have a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
  • A tourist visa is granted to visitors on arrival to the Maldives. This means, no prior visa is required to arrive in the Maldives as a Tourist.
  • You will be punished if you overstay your duration of stay in the Maldives. 
  • Your visa on arrival is valid for a maximum duration of 30 days.
  • Ghanaians visiting the Maldives with pets must obtain a certificate of vaccination and must also obtain an importation license from the embassy or the high commission.
  • Direct flights are available from the Kotoka International Airport to Male, Maldives and may last for up to 10 - 11 hours long.
  • The law of the country prohibits its citizens from practicing any other religion than Islam. Non-Muslims cannot vote or be granted citizenship in the Maldives.
