How to get a Malta visa from Ghana

• This is the type of visa issued to persons who intend to visit Malta for tourism purposes.
• The Maltese tourist visa is a short-stay visa valid for a period of 3 months.
• During the visa application, you will need to provide proof of sufficient funds to last the duration of your stay.
• The passport you are using must have at least two blank pages.
• Good medical care is available in Malta, but facilities may be limited outside urban areas.
• You are advised to exit the country before your visa expires.
• This visa does not serve study purposes. You cannot be enrolled in any of the institutions of learning in the country.
• If you are traveling with a pet, the animal must have a microchip, rabies vaccination and official veterinary certificate.

• This is type of visa issued to Ghanaians traveling to Malta for business purposes.
• You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Maltese company you will be visiting.
• This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the dates of your trip.
• If are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel.
• Your bank statement from the last 6 months is needed.
• Self-employed people will submit proof of business registration.
• You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa.
• Your passport must not be older than 10 years while applying for this visa and it must be valid for at least 3 months longer than the intended period of stay.

• A visa is required to study in Malta for a period longer than 90 days.
• The Consulate of Malta requires applicants to apply for student visas directly — a personal appearance may be necessary at the nearest Consulate.
• The Maltese student visa may take up to 2-3 months to be issued.
