Paraguay Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This type of visa is delivered to applicants who want to visit Paraguay for tourism.
  • This visa is normally processed under 10 business days.
  • Visa applicants must be ready to submit a proof of hotel reservation or other means of accommodation to be used while in Paraguay.
  • An invitation letter from the friend or relative you are paying a visit to should be provided.
  • The letter should contain the home address and telephone number of your host.
  • Applicants are required to present a letter from their current employer stating awareness of leave.
  • The applicant’s job title and position will also be included in the letter.

  • With this visa, they can attend business meetings, conclude contracts and attend conferences.
  • Holders of a business visa are NOT permitted to take up paid work while in Paraguay.
  • Applicants who intend to attend conferences in Paraguay are advised to register for the conference before they leave Ghana.
  • The certificate of registration should be submitted alongside other necessary documents during the application.
  • The host company in Paraguay may need to provide a letter confirming the invitation.
  • The duration and purpose of visit should be stated in the letter.
  • The company must be a fully registered business.

Paraguay Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Paraguay work visa is for foreign nationals wanting to enter Paraguay to seek employment.
  • Applicants entering Paraguay to work must first obtain a Paraguayan business visa.
  • This is usually granted with a 90-day stay and allows multiple entries.
  • The visa can be extended for an additional 90 days if needed.
  • There are three types of work permits/residence permits in Paraguay: Provisional, Temporary and Permanent.
  • The provisional work permit is valid only for six months and can be renewed once for an extension of an additional six months.
  • The temporary work permit is valid for one year.
  • A new application with recent required documents will have to be filed each year for up to six years, if the person wants to stay longer.
  • The permanent work permit is the preferred option for a long-term job as it will allow the applicant to live in Paraguay indefinitely.
  • Once the Paraguayan Work Visa is issued, the applicant can get all the benefits of living and working in Paraguay.
