Entry Requirements

  • Citizens of Ghana traveling to the Philippines with the intention to stay for 30 days or less do not require a visa. 
  • A visa is required for a stay exceeding 30 days.
  • Visitors are required to have a passport valid for up to six months beyond the stay in the Philippines.
  • Visitors should have at least two blank pages on their passport for stamps on arrival and departure.
  • Ghanaians traveling to the Philippines are required to show proof of Yellow Fever vaccination.
  • A visitor is required to have an onward or return ticket to the country of origin or next country of destination.
  • Children below 15 years of age who are unaccompanied by a parent, are not allowed to enter the Philippines. In order for them to be admitted into the Philippines, the applicant's parents must comply with a Philippine requirement called Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG) to be submitted at the port of entry.
  • Visitors who were previously deported from the Philippines or included in the "blacklist order" of the Department of Foreign Affairs or Bureau of Immigration of the Philippines will not be allowed entry to the Philippines.
  • The Consular Officer reserves the right to request additional documents from the applicant.
  • Ghanaians visiting the Philippines with pets must obtain a certificate of vaccination and an import license from the embassy or the high commission.
  • Ghanaians visiting the Philippines must check for hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia, and influenza vaccines.
