Slovenia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to persons who intend to visit Slovenia for tourism purposes.
  • You can also visit family and friends while on this visa.
  • Applicants seeking this visa need to submit an invitation letter from a family member or host living in Slovenia.
  • This letter should clearly state the address and contact details of the host, as well as your relationship with them.
  •  During the visa application, you will need to provide proof of sufficient funds to last the duration of your stay.
  • The Slovenian tourist visa is valid for only 90 days.
  • You are advised to exit the country before your visa expires.
  • This visa does not serve study purposes. You cannot be enrolled in any of the institutions of learning in the country.

Slovenia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This is the type of visa issued to Ghanaians traveling to Slovenia for business purposes.
  • You will need to provide an invitation letter from the Slovenian company you will be visiting.
  • This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied with the date and actual purpose of your trip.
  • If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel.
  • Your bank statement from the last 6 months is needed.
  • Self-employed people will submit proof of business registration.
  • You cannot be gainfully employed while you are in the country with this visa.
  • It must be made clear whether your trip will be sponsored by the employer or the local company.

Slovenia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A foreigner who wants to stay and study in Slovenia will require either a student visa or a student residence permit.
  • Visa applicants are required to submit the application at the diplomatic mission or consular post in person.
  • Appropriate health insurance is one of the required documents for issuing your visa.
  • Some institutions will arrange your health insurance for you after submitting the online application with relevant documents.
  • All student applicants must provide an evidence of enrollment at an educational institution in Slovenia.
  • Proof of sufficient funds to last you the duration of your study is also required.
  • According to the stated directive, the residence permit is granted for the period of studies or at the most for a period of one year.
  • The permit can be extended if the study is going to last more than one year.

Slovenia Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • If you’re planning on taking a job in Slovenia, you need to get a work permit first.
  • The number of people who want to obtain a chance to work in Slovenia has been growing because of the rapidly improving economic situation.
  • EU nationals do not need a visa to pursue work experience in Slovenia.
  • Non-EU nationals may only be employed in Slovenia on the basis of a work permit and a residence permit, which must be obtained beforehand.
  • Work and residence permits are regulated under the Employment, Self-employment and Work of Foreigners Act, which was enacted in 2015.
  • The permits are obligatory for all non-EU nationals who wish to be employed in Slovenia.
  • Exceptions to the requirements of work and residence permits include refugees and immediate family members of Slovenian citizens.
  • Companies not older than 6 months have to invest 50,000 EUR (in fixed assets) to be able to employ a foreigner.
  • Companies older than 6 months have to prove their capacity, for example, by showing they have an income of at least 10,000 EUR every month for the last 6 months (that means 60,000 EUR in 6 months).
