Medical visa

  • This visa is issued to citizens of Greece traveling to India for medical purposes.

  • You are expected to leave the country at the end of your treatment.
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up permanent residence in the country, but a temporary residence.
  • The applicant has to sign a medical declaration form.
  • If employed, a letter from your employer is required stating his awareness of your leave.
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover up all medical expenses.
  • If you are under the age of 18, you must possess the original copy of your birth certificate. If you are traveling alone or with one of their parents, a document of consent should be signed by both parents/sponsors.
  • A letter to the medical institution in India is needed. This letter must state the nature of the illness and why treatment is ill-suited elsewhere.
