Application requirements

Documents Indian applicants need to provide.

  • Duly completed and signed visa application form
  • Passport-size photographs (4 x 6 cm) taken in white background.
  • Travel document.
  • Proof of financial support.
  • Proof of accommodation.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • Medical insurance to cover entire stay in Oman should be provided.
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
  • Copy of travel itinerary.

Visa type details

Tourist visa

  • Indians traveling to Oman for tourism and visitation purposes can apply for the Omani tourist visa.
  • This visa is valid for 30 days.
  • The visa is only extended under special circumstances.
  • Upon expiration of the visa, applicants who over stay their visa are to pay (10) ten Riyals for each day of delay.
  • Proof of vaccination of yellow fever must be provided.
  • Foreigners traveling with amounts up to 20,000 or more must have it declared at custom.
  • Scanned copies of the first and the last page of the applicant’s passport must be provided.
  • A Scanned copy of the colored passport-sized photograph of the applicant taken against a blue background is also required.
  • Applicants are required to provide details of the stay in Oman. This should come in form of a hotel address or the address of the host in Oman.
  • Applicants should provide scanned copy of the confirmed air tickets.
  • Scanned copy of the Official ID Card of the Guarantor in Oman must be provided (if required).
  • Applicants must provide sanctioned leave letter or an NOC from the company if the applicant is employed.
  • Scanned copy of the applicant’s Voter ID Card or Adhaar Card is required.
  • Name, phone number and address of at least 2 Guarantors in India must be provided by the applicant.
  • Travelers are required to obey the following custom regulations:
    • Pornographic materials and firearms are prohibited.
    • Muslim travelers are forbidden to bring in alcohol.
    • Non-Muslim travelers can bring in two bottles of alcohol bought at a duty-free shop.

Business visa

  • The Oman business visa is for Indians traveling to Oman for business purposes.
  • As a business visa holder, you can negotiate and sign business contracts with your business partners in Oman.
  • Business travelers can also attend trade fairs, conferences and summits while they are in Oman.
  • For those planning to attend a conference, prior registration for the exact event is necessary.
  • A letter of invitation from the company you are visiting in Oman should be provided. The letter should be written on the company’s letterhead and should state the duration and purpose of your visit.
  • The letter of invitation should also introduce the applicant and fully explain the nature of the business to be conducted.
  • Your business partner in Oman is required to provide a certificate of business registration and a copy of membership card of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Copy of the signature specimen of the authorized signatories issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry must be provided.
  • If you have previously been in business with the company you are meeting in Oman, proof of this is required.
  • Passport must not contain any evidence of prior or intended travel to Israel.
