Foreigners who want to travel to Poland for tourism, family visitations, sight-seeing, and leisure are issued the Poland tourist visa. This visa is a Schengen visa as Poland is a part of the European Union under the Schengen policy. It is referred to as the Type-C visa which is a short-stay visa. This visa type allows holders to enter other Schengen countries without any other kind of visa. The visa guarantees a stay of 90 days and it starts to count from the date of entry into Poland. You can split this time into multiple visits but the visa expires after 180 days.  People requesting this visa would be given a list of 27 reasons for coming into Poland out of which they are expected to choose one that suits the purpose of their travel.  Applicants are to have an original passport valid beyond their intended period of stay in Poland.  Accompanying it should be 2 recently taken passport-sized photos of size 35mm x 45mm and two blank pages for visa stamps. It is required that applicants get their biometrics taken at the embassy and this is usually kept for 5 years before renewal. There should be a travel document that covers the applicant's period of stay in the country. There should also be provisions for emergencies and other kinds of medical attention the applicant might be needed in the country. Applicants would be required to submit a planned budget detailing how much they are expected to have per day in the country and if their funds would be sufficient for the duration of stay.  A bank statement would be needed as proof of the applicant's financial stability.  A document of the applicant's confirmed accommodation provision would also be needed at the embassy. This could be in the form of a hotel reservation or the house address of a host in Poland. For those who want to stay for more than 90 days, there is the Type-D national visa that allows a stay of up to 180 days. This visa is valid for one year. In cases where other people want to travel using an applicant's travel document, everyone is expected to have their visa application forms.
