Application requirements
Documents Indian applicants need to provide.
- A duly completed visa application form which carries the applicant’s signature.
- A valid passport which has a validity of more than 6 months after your intended date of exit from the country.
- Two blank passport pages for visa stamps.
- Biometric photographs following the Turkey visa photo requirements (For e-Visas).
- Two recent passport photographs taken on a white background. The photograph should follow the specification for a visa application.
- Bank statement for six months prior to the period of visa application.
- Valid travel insurance which covers sufficient medical insurance for the duration of stay in the country.
- Proof of accommodation for your stay in Turkey.
- Proof of paid visa fees.
- Proof of booked fight tickets and return tickets (For tourist visas).
- Proof of civil status such as a birth certificate, Identification document issued by your country and so on.
- Proof of financial resources to be used in Turkey.
- Copy of travel itinerary.
Visa type details
Tourist visa
- The Tourist Visa is for foreigners visiting Turkey for various purposes. It is otherwise referred to as the Tourist/Businessperson visa.
- The purposes include touristic visit, single transit, double transit, business meeting/commerce, conference, festivals/fair exhibition, sportive activity, cultural activity, and official visit.
- Applicants of Turkish visas are to schedule appointments with the Turkish consular offices in their country via Pre-Application System to receive the Turkish Sticker Visa.
- The applicants who meet the necessary requirements would be directed to use the e-Visa system.
- Some of the applicants of this visa may have been invited by a friend or relative who lives in the country.
- If you have been invited by a friend or relative in Turkey, an invitation letter from your host is required. On the letter of invitation from your host, the valid home address and telephone number of the host should be clearly stated.
- If you are employed, a letter of confirmation of employment and salary statements for the last three months is required.
- The holders of the tourist visa are not permitted to be enrolled in any of the institutions of learning in the country.
- There are two categories of Tourist Visa: Single-entry and Multiple-entries. The multiple-entry visa cannot be issued to first-time travelers.
- Minors should ensure that they have the original copy of their birth certificate during the visa application process. A notarized letter of consent signed by applicants’ parents should also be provided if they are under the age of 18 years.
- A document that proves that you have the incentive of returning to your country should be provided.
- Proof of paid visa application fee is to be submitted.
- If you are below the age of 30 years, a certificate of good conduct is required.
- You are expected to obey the terms of your visa.
- All Turkish Visas are issued for a maximum stay of 90 days. Applicants who would be staying for more than 90 days are expected to apply for a Short Term Residence Permit to be able to extend their stay.
- This is to be applied for at the Provincial Directorate of Migration Administration.
Student visa
- This is the visa issued to students who have been admitted into schools with a clear international profile in Turkey.
- Foreigners can be admitted to both private and public institutions in Turkey.
- The Turkey student visa is a permit to enter Turkey for purposes related to education. You can use this to enter Turkey for Internships, Language courses, and other educational purposes.
- You are advised to apply for the Turkish visa 60 days before your intended departure to Turkey and the application shouldn't go later than 1 month prior to your intended departure date.
- Applying on time helps you avoid any problems associated with late application entry.
- You are expected to select the right purpose for taken the Student visa.
- A letter of acceptance or its equivalent should be presented with other supporting documents at the embassy.
- For those that would be sponsored in Turkey, you are to present a Letter of Sponsorship.
- You should also have proof of your accommodation. If you would be staying in a dormitory, have a document clearly stating this. If you would be renting a place, have a valid rent agreement with you.
- Note that international students have no legal rights to work in offices in Turkey.
- Also, make sure that all the documents required for application are complete as incomplete or invalid documents might result in rejection of the visa application.
- You would also have to apply for a residence permit upon entry into Turkey.
Work visa
- Foreigners who intend to take up paid employment in Turkey are the applicants of this visa.
- Applicants of the visa should ensure that they have been offered employment by a Turkish company before they start the visa application process.
- This visa is to be applied for as soon as you have been offered a job in Turkey. The latest you can lodge an application is one month before your intended entry into Turkey.
- A letter is required from your employer in Turkey confirming your employment and the wage statements of the last 3 months.
- Your credentials and a translated version of the credentials are to be provided and submitted at the embassy as supporting documents for the application.
- Your employer must confirm that you will not be paid below the minimum wage when you are employed in the country.
- Proof that there was no Turkish available to take up the job that you were offered by your employer is required.
- You are required to provide a document that shows you have the incentive of returning to your country.
- If you are below the age of 30 years, a certificate of good conduct is required.
- An online application should be completed by your employer at the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) website.
- The employer should submit the following for a Turkey Work Permit:
- Work permit application letter
- Foreign personnel application form
- The Trade Registry Gazette of Turkey
- A balance sheet and profit/loss statement for the most recent year
- Notarized power of attorney for the person authorized to file the online application.
- A maximum of 30 days is required to be issued the work permit and work visa.
