The US visitor visa is a temporary stay visa and is of two types: B1 and B2 visa. B1 visa is for those who want to visit the US for business purposes. It is also for foreigners who want to consult with business partners, attend conventions or conferences, negotiate contracts and carry out professional activities. The B2 visa is for those who want to go into the US for leisure, vacationing and also visiting friends and family. Those who want to visit the US for medical reasons are also issued a B2 visa. Note that you can have a combination of these purposes on your visa and it would be tagged the B1/B2 visa. The visa application form is to be filled online and a confirmation page would be provided after applying. This is to be printed out and taken by the applicants for their scheduled interviews. To obtain any of these visas, travelers must bring proof of the following:         Purpose of temporary stay in the country.         Intended period of time to be spent in the country.         Evidence of funds to support yourself during your stay. The US work visa is only issued to foreigners who have gained employment in the country. For nonimmigrants, they are to be given specific visas based on the type of work they would be doing. The employers or agents are to file a petition to the USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services)to be approved before the foreigner can work in the U.S. The petition formed is tagged Form I-129 and after it is approved, the employer or agent will receive a Notice of Action (Form I-797). This notice is the approval needed for the foreigner to enter the U.S. When this is done, the next thing is to apply for the visa and pick the specific one that corresponds to what work you want to do. Foreigners who wish to attend an approved school such as a college or university, or private secondary school are the eligible applicants of the F-1 Visa. If you will be undergoing a program that lasts for more than 18 hours a week, this is the visa type for you. The F-1 and M-1 applicants need the Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status) and after visa, payment must have been made. Form I-20 proves that you are legally enrolled in a program of study in the United States. You are required to present the original and copies of academic documents such as school transcripts with grades, public examination certificates, standardized test scores and diplomas during the visa application. It should be stated clearly on the Form I-20 that students have made payment for the educational cost.
