Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Czech Republic

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Czech Visa.

  • An original Indonesian passport valid for at least 3 months  beyond the date  the date of departure from Czech Republic and issued within 10 years. 
  • The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
  • Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any) should be provided.
  • Completely filled and signed visa application form.
  • Two identical passport photographs(35mm x 45mm) taken in a light grey background.
  • Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to the Czech Republic and itinerary
  • A proof of accommodation valid through your stay in the country should be provided.
  • Proof of sufficient funds during the duration of  your stay 
  • A letter of invitation from the host.
  • Flight itinerary.
  • Proof of paid visa fees.

Czech Republic Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Czech issues a visitor visa to applicants who want to travel to the country for leisure.
  • It is a short-stay visa valid for a period of 90 days every six months.
  • This visa cannot be used to study or work while in the Czech Republic.
  • Individuals who would be staying with their relatives during their trip or with a host are to submit an invitation letter.
  • The invitation letter should contain the host's address and contact details.
  • If you do not have a host, you must have an accommodation reservation which could be a hotel or a rented apartment.
  • The Czech Republic is a Schengen country and therefore abides with the Schengen rule.
  • All travelers to the Schengen republic are to have travel medical insurance which would be used to cover any emergency that might come up during their stay.
    • This medical insurance should be worth a minimum of 30,000 euros and should be valid for the duration of your stay in the Schengen area.
  • Before applying for your visa, ensure that you have sufficient funds as proof would be required during the application.
  • The proof could be in the form of a recent bank statement for the last 6 months, payslip or salary records.

Czech Republic Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to Indonesian citizens for commercial and trade activities in the Czech Republic.
  • It is usually issued as a short-stay visa and is valid for 90 days but if you have to stay for a longer time then you can apply for a type D, long-stay visa.
  • With this visa, you can negotiate and sign contracts, attend business meetings, conferences and seminars.
  • Those attending conferences are to present proof of pre-registration for the conference during the visa application.
  • Note that all fees paid for the visa application are non-negotiable and non-refundable even if the visa is denied.
  • Employed applicants are to present a letter from their employer in Indonesia stating their position at work, salary earned and that the trip is approved.
  • The host company also is to issue an invitation letter which should state the exact purpose and duration of the visit.
  • This visa does not grant the individual permission to seek employment or to apply for public funds in the country.
  • Do not overstay your Schengen visa. You would be deported regardless of your reasons for overstaying.
  • Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint stock companies) Trade License (first issued and present renewal), Proprietorship/Partnership documents
  • Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
