Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Finland
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Finnish Visa.
- An Indonesian passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Finland.
- The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
- Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any).
- Completely filled and signed visa application form should be submitted.
- Two identical passport photographs(35mm x45mm)taken on a light background.
- Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area is required.
- A detailed cover letter explaining the purpose of your trip.
- Proof of accommodation for the intending duration of stay.
- Proof of sufficient funds for the trip.
- Letter of invitation.
- Flight itinerary.
- Birth certificate for minors.
- Proof of paid visa fees.

Finland Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Finish visitor's visa is available for Indonesian citizens traveling for leisure purposes in the country.
- The Finnish visitor's visa is a short stay visa which is usually valid for 90 days.
- Individuals who want to visit friends and relatives residing in Finland can also apply for this visa.
- It is necessary to note that your visa application cannot be submitted earlier than three months before your intended date of travel.
- All original documents must be submitted with an extra copy.
- Individuals who have a host should provide an invitation letter from the host which should state the relationship between the applicant and the host, duration of stay, contact details and address of the host.
- If you would be staying in a guest house or hotel, the proof of booking should be submitted.
- You would be required to present a recent bank statement as proof of sufficient funds during your application.
- A visitor's visa cannot be used to study or work in Finland.
- Applications are to be submitted in person to the embassy as physical interviews would be conducted.
- A return trip ticket would also be required as proof that you would return to Indonesia at the expiration of your visa.
Finland Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Finland business visa is issued to Indonesians planning to travel to Finland on a business trip.
- It normally takes about 3 working days to process the visa after submitting the application but it can also take as much as 15 working days in some cases.
- Travel medical insurance worth a minimum of EUR 30,000 covering the entire Schengen area and valid for your period of stay should be submitted.
- This visa can also be used to sign and negotiate business contracts, attend meetings and conferences.
- Those attending conferences or seminars are to present proof of pre-registration for the conference.
- Employed applicants are to present a leave permit from their employer in Indonesia.
- Your business partners are also to send an invitation letter stating the purpose of the trip, the duration of the trip and if they would finance the trip.
- All applications are to be submitted in person to the embassy.
- The Finnish business visa cannot be used to seek employment during your stay in the country.
Finland Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- An airport transit visa is issued to travelers who want to travel through Finland to another country.
- You will need an airport transit visa if your final destination is a country outside the Schengen area.
- The airport transit visa does not permit you to leave the airport.
- Applicants of this visa should be in possession of the visa of the destination country.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up permanent residence in Finland.
- Holders of this visa should have a flight ticket to their destination country.
Finland Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- An original Indonesian passport with the validity that exceeds the duration of the visa for by at least 3 months.
- Your passport must have been issued within the previous ten years.
- You are required to have a copy of your completed and signed application form.
- Colored Passport photo.
- Colored copies of the passport’s personal data page and any passport pages that contain notes.
- A certificate of acceptance from a Finnish educational institution is required.
