Application requirements
Documents Indonesian applicants need to provide.
- An original Indonesia passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Hungary.
- The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
- Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any).
- Completely filled and signed visa application form.
- Two identical passport size photographs(35mm x 45mm) taken on a light background.
- Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area.
- A detailed cover letter.
- Proof of accommodation valid through your trip.
- Proof of sufficient funds for the trip.
- Letter of invitation.
- Flight itinerary.
- Birth certificate for minors.

Visa type details
Tourist visa
- A Hungarian visitor visa is issued to Indonesians with intentions to visit Hungary for recreational and leisure purposes.
- Friends and families of the visa holder can be visited with this visa.
- It is a short-stay visa that allows a maximum stay of 90 days but can be valid for up to 1 year.
- Proof of accommodation reservation in Hungary is required. This could be a hotel reservation, rented apartment or the house of your host.
- Those who would be staying with a host are to present an invitation letter from their host with a valid residence permit in Hungary.
- The invitation letter should state information such as the relationship between the host and applicant, duration of the applicant's trip, and the contact address of the host.
- This invitation letter has to be obtained from the Hungarian Immigration Office and once it has been issued, the visitor has to make an application for the Visitor Visa in person.
- A recent bank statement proving sufficient financial means to cover your stay in Hungary is required.
- All applicants are required to have medical insurance confirmation worth a minimum of EUR 30,000 and valid through all the Schengen area.
- A trip return ticket is needed as proof that the applicant would return to their home country at the expiration of their visa.
- The application form should be correctly filled and signed as incomplete applications would be rejected.
Business visa
- A Hungarian business visa is available for business oriented Indonesian with intentions to carry out trade and commercial activities in Hungary.
- It is valid for a maximum of three months but can be extended under certain circumstances.
- Before you can apply for this visa, you need to have an official invitation letter from the business company you would be working alongside Hungary.
- The inviting company or organization has to apply for the invitation Letter at the Hungarian Immigration Office, proving that the visitor will come to Hungary for business reasons and that the company which is making the invitation will cover all costs during the visit.
- TApplicants that are currently employed in Indonesia are to present a letter from their employer stating their awareness and approval of the trip.
- A Hungary business visa can also be used to attend conferences and seminars.
- Pre-registration proof of the conference or seminar is required during the visa application.
- Getting a visa into Hungary does not guarantee that you would enter the country. If the immigration officer at the entry port feels you are a threat to the country, you would be refused entry.
- It is possible for your visa application to be rejected and in this case, your visa fee would not be refunded.
- Holders of this visa cannot be gainfully employed while in Hungary.

- The doctor in Indonesia should also provide documents showing your medical history.
- Applicants traveling on their own for treatment have to write a cover letter explaining why they want to be treated in Hungary instead of Cambodia.
- Applicants who are minors are required to submit their original birth certificate and a signed letter of authorization from their parents or legal guardian.
