Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Iceland

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Icelander Visa.


  • An original Indonesian passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Iceland is required.
  • The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
  • Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any).
  • A completely filled and signed visa application form.
  • Two identical passport photographs(3.5cm x 4.5cm) taken on a light background.
  • Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area should be required.
  • A detailed cover letter stating the purpose of you travelling to Iceland.
  • Proof of accommodation for the duration of stay.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the trip.
  • Letter of invitation.
  • Flight itinerary.
  • Birth certificate for minors.
  • Return trip ticket.
  • Proof of paid visa fees.
